Sharon and Roger Ellison are the owners of Nappies-R-Us. Sharon first had the idea for Nappies-R-Us when she was operating a clothing store on the main street in Thames, and would watch mothers with their babies walking past her storefront window. Sharon felt there weren’t enough options for these mums to make quality product decisions for their babies. She also admits that she was missing her two grandchildren terribly – they live all the way in Melbourne – so it made sense to do something for “all those Precious Babies” out there.
Sharon is passionate about pure and natural products for babies. “There’s so much out there that parents have no control over – all kinds of bugs going round and toxins in our environment – why not do everything within our power as parents and grandparents to give our babies the tools to thrive despite all this?” That is the simple philosophy behind Nappies-R-Us. With a team that includes Lynette, a mother and grandmother, and Sharon’s ever-supportive husband, Roger, they select all products carefully, first for suitability of use around our children, and then with careful consideration to the global impact they may have during and after use.
Though they are strong believers in cloth nappies, Sharon and Roger understand that parenting is all about choice. This is why Nappies-R-Us carries certain brands of environmentally friendly disposable nappies as well as other baby products. Rather than pushing one set of products, Nappies-R-Us’ goal is to provide parents with enough information and a variety of quality baby products to make the best choice for their babies and for the world they will grow up in.
